Daisies Let Me Breathe - Episode 13
Need to let go? I am bowled over by the perception and thought Emily has put into discovering ways to navigate challenges and to thrive. They are insightful, get to the root of things, and are practical. I learned a ton and plan on utilizing the techniques she shares. And now the conversation Emily and I had recently.
The Weight of Holding On
Thoughts on Daisies Let Me Breath
Emily is definitely bubbly, nurturing and perceptive. I can attest to that. But what took me by surprise was the wisdom she shared in our conversation that all of us can use. Right now. The longer you hold on to something the heavier it gets. Makes sense, right? Here are the steps she outlined to help us take actionable items and to learn to let go:
Close Your Eyes - What am I feeling? Why? Why does it bother me? Keep asking yourself questions. Acknowledge past experiences. Why does this make me feel this way? Answer the questions and follow that path. Get to the root.
Clear your heart - Get to untold truth within yourself. You are upset because of a thought you placed in your own head. It’s your own insecurity. Really ask myself why and identify the insecurities I have. This helps lead me out of that hole.
Let it go - Bit by bit. Not easy. Stay with it.
I suggested a potential 4th step: Follow up - depending on the situation you may feel led to have a conversation with someone involved but really this is more an exercise for you. As Emily added, You need to seek validation from yourself. Seek knowledge from someone not validation from another.
And as she summed it up,
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Remember to breath.
