It is My Goal to Fail - Episode 24

Those words don’t sound quite right strung together like that, do they? And yet when you listen to Eli (sounds like “Ellie”) speak you will have a very different take on the importance of failing. She trusts the hard work of trying things, and when they don’t work, she can become vulnerable and open to take new chances that will build things she hadn't thought possible. Primarily Eli is speaking from a performer’s point of view but really this concept could be, and should be, applied to many efforts. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. — Wayne Gretzky

Honest.

Hard-working.

Perceptive.

Oxygen

When Eli utters the quote (with picture below) I noticed a profound acknowledgment of its truth go through my body. I could FEEL the rightness of it. Sometimes I want to shout from the rooftops to proclaim to women, right now, today, exactly as you are, you are enough! Don’t let anyone or anything get in the way of you claiming, and knowing this, for yourself. It will make all the difference. Do you believe it right now? For yourself?

Or are you in a holding pattern waiting for the “right” person, job, place, child, fill-in-the-blank, to come in and complete you in a way that is not necessary for NOW. For YOU. I am not talking about wanting to improve certain aspects of your life. That is desire, striving and goals. Those things are good to have. I am talking about contentment. Personal contentment. Do you KNOW you are enough?

If you don’t know it for yourself then get cracking. Read books, journal, hang with uplifting women, talk to yourself in the mirror, pray, and make sure you get to this important, critical point/place. It is invaluable. It is necessary. It is oxygen.

I am enough. I am so enough. It is unbelievable how enough I am.
