But what do you want? Think about it. Make a list.
And you get to want what you want - you really do.
Why would the God who loves you deny you? I don’t think he does. Sure the timing might not be right or maybe it isn’t good for you. Those are good nos from him, ones that you will ultimately be grateful for.
Yet, how do we find his direction? How do we listen for his voice?

So if you’re not done yet, what’s next? And how on earth do you figure that out? I think one of the ways is to listen to what God is saying to you. Okay, I’ll bite. How do you do that?
You may not hear an audible voice, few do. But what about some of the passions you have? The desires? You can ask yourself questions to mine some of those answers. There are clues there to be discovered that he wants you to find. What did you love as a kid? What do you secretly want to do? What breaks your heart? What brings you joy? These are the beginning of figuring it out.
As Max Lucado so beautifully wrote, When we submit to God’s plans, we can trust our desires. Our assignment is found at the intersection of God’s plan and our pleasures...The longings of your heart then are not incidental; they are critical messages. The desires of your heart are not to be ignored; they are to be consulted.
